Phillip Lim comes up with some amazing things. And sure, I can appreciate some of the elements incorporated in these pants. But I really, really, really can't get over the frayed hem.
It's like a swashbuckler's dream.
I'm not even sure that The Man Repeller would even approve of these. It's a bit like they took gram's pajama pants, cut them off, and then sent them to Shopbop.
But hey, they could sell like hotcakes...
I just hope they don't. Because I don't think I'll be able to hold back the laughter if I see them in person.

J. Crew's secondary line, Madewell is always full of fantastic pieces that are the right mix of casual and funky-- like this "Dewdrop Tassel Necklace," available in canvas and red hibiscus.
Its asymmetrical design creates a ton of interest and would add a nice finishing touch to a simple ensemble.
And, at only $68 it's pretty much a steal.

I know *at least* a handful of guys who simply hate shopping. They hate pretty much everything about it-- from going to the store, to selecting clothes, to trying things on, to having to even think about selecting new duds.
To them, the process is just that-- a process. So, for a few of my friends (and exes!), I've gone through and have shopped for them (because let's face it-- I'm not one to complain about shopping), and have either curated lists of things to buy, have done the buying for them, or have gone ahead and started pulling items and have had them meet me an hour or so later at a certain store once they're ready to try.
But for most guys in this boat, they simply prefer the days of Mom-- where she'd go to the store, come home with a bag 'o goods, and they'd try on the clothes, say what fits, what doesn't and the stuff that didn't work would go back.
Unfortunately, unless you have a personal stylist, are married, or have a "girlfriend" or girlfriend who loves to shop, these days are hard to come by for some guys. That's why the Trunk Club is sort of amazing.
Essentially, you select what types of goods you're looking for (jeans, sweaters, tops, etc.) and a stylist pulls a series of items from the latest trends and mails them away to you. Then, you try on what you're sent, choose what you like, and ship back what you don't.
All the items you're sent are on-trend, personalized, and it's essentially hassle free.
Amazing. Who knows, maybe this will encourage a few more sharp-dressed men, and a little less of the "Mark by Mark Zuckerberg" look.

Oh. Emm. Gee. I just can't get enough of J. Crew. This skirt? Amazeballs. That outfit? Fantastic.
In the past few years, J. Crew, with the help of the amazing and talented Jenna Lyons and Micky Drexler has managed to basically "own" the term effortlessly chic. They've transformed a brand that was considered uppity and old-ish into one that is comfy, trendy, and incredibly wearable.
So wearable (in my mind) that I literally wear something from J. Crew every single day-- without even trying.
It has become an absolute staple and I have to pry myself away from the site and the store on a regular basis.
Oh what I would give to have one of their stylists, tucked away in my closet each day, picking out items from my wardrobe (or better yet, their arsenal of clothing!) for me to wear.

I've always had a soft spot for structured bags-- but with so many bags out there, it's hard to find the "right" one. But Smythson's Daphne bag in putty just seems to get it right.

I'm totally loving this ring from sass & bide as it's a bit of a twist on all of the other connected/knuckle rings that are currently on the market right now.
While most of the rings keep your two fingers forcibly connected, this ring allows for a little bit of movement, which adds a bit of grace and femininity to the ring (this femininity is supported by the use of rosegold as opposed to a dull brass. This softness is juxtaposed by the use of chains, which brings back a feeling of masculinity into the ring.
I love the complexity in this piece and think it's pretty fantastic. And, it's not priced too steeply either!
